  • Never Received then missinformed and rude!

I placed an order mid August online for 5 items. I used my $60.00 Khols cash and paid the balance of $29.88 on my credit card. last week I received only 1 $8.00 item and the other 4 items were sent out on a different tracking number. When I tried to track the pkg it said the airbill was created but never shipped. I contacted customer service today and they told me that they would have to refund me the $29.88 and resubmit the order again for me, so as the agent was entering the items in again she was telling me that now 2 of the 4 items were out of stock...but that's weird because at... • Billing Statement complaint

I did not receive my Email billing statement for the month after my purchase and then receive the next statement with Late charges and interest included. This is the second time this has happened within the last year.Kohl's rep was able to waive the late fee but not the interest. I requested Kohl's start sending me my statement by usps. I wonder how many customers pay the late fee and interest even though they did not receive their first statement in time to avoid fees and interest? More...

  • Electronic Billing complaint.

I had purchased an item from Kohl's Toms River, NJ store on Jun 20th. Today I received a email that my statement was available. Upon opening my statement the amount I owed was $16 more than my original purchase. The increase was listed as Late Fee ($15) Interest ($1). I called Kohl's at 1-800-564-5740 and spoke to a rep "Virginia",who was exceptionally considerate.I explained that I did not receive an earlier email statement and also, This had happened once before within the last year. I requested she change my billing to Mail and she said she would waive the charges. I... More...

  • Poor Customer Service by the Manager at Store 0514

As long as I've been shopping at Kohl's, they have honored Kohl's cash (even after the expiration date). I had $40 in Kohl's cash, that I was saving for school clothes shopping (the Kohl's cash was from 3.29.14 and had to be used the first week in April). So, it had been 3/4 months that I have been holding onto the cash. I took my son school clothes shopping last night, whipped out the Kohl's cash and 30% off coupon and was told I couldn't use the Kohl's cash, b/c as of August 1st, they could no longer accept expired Kohl's cash. I explained... More...

  • Very very rude Kohl's employee!

I've never been so upset at a store to file any kind of complaint before. I live in Stockton, CA and we only have one Kohl's in town. Today as we entered the store, there was this display of stuffed animals right next to the cash register and thought my little niece would like one of the stuffed animals. I grabbed one and brought it over to her to play with. I was playing with her with the stuff animal for about 2 min when I heard a lady said "I hope you're paying for that". I looked over my shoulder to see a white middle age lady staring at our direction. She then... More...

  • Kohl's marks up to mark down

I've thought it in the past, but now I'm sure. I bought some Spider-Man cups for grandson. Regular price marked $28.00....really? Who ever heard of an 8 oz cut costing that much. They were on sale for $18.99 and I still thought that was a rip off, but I had a coupon for 30% off, so I thought that was about what I wanted to pay, so I bought a couple. Went to Dillard's today and they have the exact same brand same everthing of cup and their regular every day normal price was $18.99. GOOD-BYE KOHL's, HELLO Dillards. I've been shopping at Dillards for over 50... More...

  • Don't buy Jewelry at Kohl's

I replaced my wedding and engagement rings at Kohl's because I was told I could return them at any time if something happened to them. I usually don't wear my rings at home, but the first time I did, I barely hit the engagement ring and the prong bent. I took it back and they said they didn't fix rings, but I could return it. I was told that since it had been about 16 months, they could not refund in the store, but Kohl's would send me a corporate check. When I received it, it wasn't a check, but a merchandise credit. I already bought a ring somewhere else... More...

  • Two horrible shipping and customer service experiences

I have been a Kohl's customer for over 15 years and never thought I would have a negative thing to say about them until this past Christmas and today. I had ordered some children's items on Black Friday 2013 (Thanksgiving weekend) that were for charity. I waited two weeks and when the package still hadn't arrived, I called customer service. At this time, I got a very concerned, helpful person who tried to re-do my order but they no longer had several items. At the end of the order, I wasn't allowed to ship it overnight at the store's expense (as it should have been)... More...

  • kohls manager at store 1233

I was shopping at the kohls in Valley ranch when I heard a manager yelling at an associate. He said and I quote " you are worth less and might as well quit this job and drop out of school to work at mcdonalds because that is all you are worth" I went to find another associate to find out his name. Apparently it was Ryan and he is one of the store managers. Why on earth would you allow a manager to continue working there when he treats his associates like this? He should be fired!!!! More...

  • Complaint-store 0180

Here is the post I left on Kohl's Facebook: On 6-14-14 I visited store #0180 in Homewood, IL. I discovered I did not have my Kohl's charge card with me. My initial cashier was very kind. The woman ahead of me was asked if she had a Kohl' charge card. She did not and did not want one. The cashier gave her the 20% off anyway. Now it is my turn and I explain I do not have my charge card, but I have a debit card with my name on it, The 20% off coupon mailed to our house in my husband's name and $10 worth of Kohl's bucks, which I assumed they could also use for... • RUDE LADY

At around 5:00pm today, June 6th, An older woman with a mole on her lip, white short hair, working in the jewelry counter near perfume section. I asked politely for help and she rudely replied, "Wait a minute!" Then I said, "Yes ma'am." Then began looking at jewelry while I waited and not more than 30 seconds later she was standing by the aisle I needed and then told me once again extremely rude, "I have been waiting for you!!" With such a bad attitude that it startled me and she made everyone stare at us. I mumbled an apology and followed suite. As we... More...

  • Kohl's Return Not Hassle-Free!

I am addressing this to Kohl's upper management! I am NOT happy with a policy the company has for returns. I purchased 3 items at the Wilkesboro, NC store, that totaled over $90. I took advantage of a $10 off coupon for spending more than $25. I returned one item at the store 2 days later. I had paid $29.99 for it and was only refunded $26.87. They PENALIZED me $3.12 for the return!! I was told it was "store policy." I couldn't believe it!!! I don't think that it is fair at all. Kohls doesn't care bout their employees I actually had a manager scream at me just because I sat down for 2 mins feeling sick all week and I still come to work. The work in misses is rediculous they never have enough workers on the floor and they complain about things they do themselves like break wise. Also one of my manager told a co worker if she had a degree she wouldn't be working at kohls like seriously so wrong. They need better management in new jersey seriously. More...

I placed an order on 4/27/2014. The order status remain 'in fulfillment' since the day I placed the order. I contacted kohls customer service several times and each time I was assured that the order would arrived by the expected date. It did not. When I contacted them one final time, they told me that because of the order status, I would have to re-order the items and this order would be canceled. • Kohl's Cash Expired Refused

I have been a loyal shopper at their store and even got upgraded to their MVC CC. I shopped so much one holiday season that I got $90 Kohl's Cash. I was so happy unfortunately my husband did some 'cleaning' and misplaced my Kohl's cash. On multiple occassions while shopping at the store that when I find it they would honor it. • Kohl's HORRIBLE Customer Service on Phone! TOOK THREE HOURS!!!!

just tried to place an order for FOUR items, two identical pillows and two identical face creams, and it took, honestly, three hours. The first HOUR was routed to India, and the fellow and I could barely understand each other. It was exasperating, and I finally asked to speak to the supervisor to finish the order. After that, I realized that for a few dollars more, I could get free shipping, so I found a couple more items online and called again. Next HOUR. • Registry Problems

When I got engaged, everyone insisted that we register at Khols because of the fact that most people have access to a store. I did not really want to register there, but for the sake of my family members that would ultimately be purchasing me gifts, I went ahead and registered there. I figured it would make it easier on my family members, and that since it is such a huge chain, the registry process would be easy. This couldn't be further from the truth. • Never get a Kohl's charge and terrible customer service

Never get a Kohl's charge! It looks like it maybe a good deal when they offer you a 30% discount for signing up for opening an account. However, the interest is very high (24.99%) and they turn you over to a collection agency immediately that can't be good for your credit score. I owned a Kohl's charge for several months. I have been in a dispute with them about my charges for more than 3 months now. I got charged on Kohl's charge and paid it off in full according to the receipt I received from their cashier. Not only have I been on the phone (for kohls.com orders) more than a handful of times for more than 30 min at a time over silly little things that could have easily been fixed but I have talked to some of the rudest "customer service" representatives that you have. • Discounts and Kohl's Cash

I purchased several gifts from Kohl's for the holiday, largely due to the 30% discount they offered me on Kohl's Card purchases, as well as the Kohl's Cash they offered. Like normal, I purchased items my family did not like or maybe did not fit. I gave them the receipts to make it easier to return and choose different items. When they processed the return, they lost the 30% discount. Example, If I purchased a $50 item for $35, it was returned for $35, but now they could not purchase a $50 item, they could only purchase a $35 item. Not only did they lose the 30%... More...

  • Kohl's bad return policy

I received a purse as a Christmas gift and did not like it. I took it to Kohl's to exchange it and was told that I had to get a purse for the exact same price for an even exchange. I asked if I could get a more expensive purse and pay the difference and was told that I couldn't do that. Then I asked if I could pick a less expensive purse and was told that I couldn't do that either, and that I could only return the purse for a total of $6, even though the purse cost $23.60. 06.11.14 It was a Wednesday and Senior Citizen day and I had a 15% off coupon sent to me via my e-mail and used that and asked for senior citizen discount and the reply was "can't get senior citizen discount" and I had to ask why not and she replied, "one or the other. Since it had been honored before to me, I was very surprised. She was very curt and rude. When I got home and read the paper coupon it made some reference to age specific discounts which I assume NOW means senior citizen discount!!!!!!! Right????? Guess it would be better for me to just shop on any other day than Wednesday because if I have a coupon the Senior Citizen discount is of no value. It is a very sneaky way of handling the issue and certainly not very good that the clerk could not even point out that it is stated on the coupon, but instead a rude reply. Senior Citizen discount should not be taken away just because other discounts are available. The other more reputable stores honor both. Maybe it would be wise to reconsider. After all, we old folks won't be around too long!!!!!!!! ha! ha!
Thank you for your time

I went to Kohl's and bought a sweater and 2 wallets. When I came home I couldn't find one of the wallets. Looked at my receipt and was charged for 1 sweater and 2 wallets. I went back to Kohl's and the cashier said she did put it in the bag. The missing wallet was $8.00, The manager was called and she said I can't do anything about it yet. I was to leave my name and # and they would look at the camera to see if the Cashier did put the wallet in my bag.
I went back to where I found the wallet and found the same one that I bought.
The ticket with the bar code was ripped off. I explained to the manager that maybe I did drop it and someone picked it up and put it back where it belonged, either an associate or a customer. She disagreed and said no one would do that. I did leave my name and # and was about to leave the store. In the mean while their were 3 customers that overheard what was happening. They were very angry and was saying that the Manager was very rude and unprofessional and wrong to make a big thing over an $8.00 wallet, and that I should go to customer service and tell them what happened. One of the women came with me, (she was more upset than I was). The manager in a huff and a puff said, ok I will give you the wallet for nothing. I took the wallet and said that is what you should of done in the first place. The woman and I left the store and the Manager came out and continued the argument and said that she was going to call the police, Now my husband was with me and was saying let's go. If my husband was not with me I would of stayed and welcomed the police. My point is that I feel that the customer is always right and that as a manager she should of just given me the wallet and everyone would of walked out happy. I am going to call Kohl's HR department tomorrow and tell them what happened and report her for being very rude and unprofessional. The other woman was going to do the same thing.

I just got home from Khol's (miramesa) I really love their store but today there's this new girl that works there and she treated me like crap. I was lookin at the make up section, I accidentally drop the lipstick and she told me "so are you gonna pick it up or what?!?" I was shocked and I said I will calm down. She replied "you better". Seriously they need to fire her, she's treating costumers unprofessionally.

I want to praise a cashier at the Naples,FL Kohls on 4-26-13 at 10:59 a.m. named Leaha I believe. I probably misspelled her name. She's tall and blonde. I was having a frustrating day and she was so clear about explaining the benefits of opening a charge in my own name and the use of the coupons I had with me. She convinced me that I'm not too old to wear short skirts from the Jr. Dept.-Why not?She was a breath of fresh air. Jane Peterson

I applied for a credit card at Kohls and it turned out to be a nightmare!! I went to pay for my purchase when I used the credit line I received and they tell me they only receive payment by cash or check, who carries cash or checks no a days!! I called their customer service and asked them what the status of my card was, I had not received it. They confirmed that my card was mailed to an address I had lived over ten years ago. They explained to me that if I couldn't verify the address, which I couldn't remember that they would close my account when I had asked them to cancel the card and issue me a new one. They refused until I could verify the address from ten years ago. Now they want me to re-apply at a store and have them run my credit again! Too much of a hassle to shop at a store with overpriced merchandise anyway!

I am more than disappointed with the level of professionalism when I had to call the Corporate refund toll free #. The CS rep, Katy, was inpatient, rude and continued to cut me off numerous times when I merely answered her many questions. I will NEVER shop Kohl's store again. The return policy is all wrong and doesn't work as described by Kohl's. I plan on writing Corporate, but I highly doubt that will do any good.

Yesterday I shopped with my son at Kolhl's in Severna Park, MD. I spent over $200-paid for by $50 on a Visa gift debit card, the rest on my Kohl's charge. Today I returned $149 worth of merchandise to the same store. They asked me for the gift card to credit the refund back, but I no longer had it since I had used the full amount on the gift card. Ok, says the sales person- she will give me a store credit. A store credit for $50, and the rest on my Kohl's charge? That would be fine. No, the entire amount would be refunded as a store credit. What??!! That makes absolutely no sense whatsover. If I had returned all of the merchandise that I purchased the day before, then I would expect that $50 would be refunded in store credit, and the rest credited to my Kohl's charge. No, that's not the way the computer is set up. The refund has to be paid back the same way the customer paid. Since I no longer had the gift card, I was out of luck. I was not asking for a credit on my Kohl's card for more than what I had charged on it. Even with my refund, I still had spent over $50 (the amount of the gift card). The outcome of this episode is that I will receive a corporate refund check for $149 (God-willing) and will no longer shop at Kohl's as my first choice for just about everything. Very, very disappointed in this policy. I asked several sales people to explain the reasoning behind the policy. No one was able to explain the reason. I can only conclude that it is a sneaky way to force customers to spend refunded money at Kohls rather than some other store, or wait 2 wks for a refund while Kohl's collects the interest on someone else's money. They kept the money (for 2 weeks) and lost a customer. Bad business practice.

I had purchase some clothes from khols, and the material of the clothes were very cheap. My clothes tore within a week,i was really disappointing. I went back to the store and told them my situation, the workers were very understandable. The environment is peaceful, and gave me my back my money. I would definitely go back to Khols, but probably wont buy there clothing again.

I purchased a Home Classics Quilted Bedspread called Fall Garden Queen size @$199.99 #99phc120Ao7c1203 411 80 87. I put it on my bed and started noticing bites on my body. Had a exterminator check it out and they cannot determine the type of bug. Then I checked and it was made in China. I took it back to the store for a refund and would only give me an exchange, I had the bug taped to the bag! I didn't want another spread as now I don't trust getting more bugs after multi sprays still can't get rid of them. I just had back surgery and am in enough pain without all these bites too! I am very unhappy and discurraged at this point. I would like to know if you can resolve this in any other manner as it is getting quite expensive and painful. Will appreciate hearing from you. I was forgot one payment to Kohls...I discovered it myself and immediately paid it off. Mt credut monitoring service alerted me to a change in credit rating. It was Kohls...I appealed to them but they would not relent for this SINGLE late payment Kohls. I had no other late payments. AVOID using Kohls credit carde unless you want to get hurt.

At least here I can post without the hassle of wasting my time as I did on Kohl's site--the message never went through.

Disappointed.
1) Their web site doesn't accept complaints (see above).
2) Their store is ok, but people are too busy. I couldn't find any one to ask a question since I couldn't find what I was looking for. Lower prices aren't worth it if it's a hassle.

I recently shopped Kohl's "online". I have mobile disability. I purchased a large area rug and when received, the rug is much darker than Kohl's online image. So, it needed to be returned and that I could not physically take it in nor did I feel I should pay for the return shipping cost. Called Kohl's and was told by two separate employees, one being a "supervisor" that Kohl's will "pick up the rug UPS". They never did. If you're disabled, do not purchase from Kohl's online.

Don't ever forget your password for your myKohls Charge account because the reset button does not work. I've been reporting the issue since July 2009 and I keep getting the same answer, wait 24 hours, clean out your spam box, unblock kohls.. blah blah blah. Why advertise convenience for customers by paying online if parts of your feature does not work? I wish the customer reps would quit reading the script and report the issue to the IT department and fix the issue. Maybe Kohls should use all the late fees they've collected from me to get an IT department if they don't have one.

I'm willing to say that maybe my yahoo account just doesn't like kohls and does not want me to pay my bills on time. Maybe that's the answer.

Anyone else ever try to reset their password and never got their reset email?

I used my Kohl's charge card for the first time in a couple of years at the end of September. I did not receive a billing statement until the first week in November. There was a $20 late charge on the statement. I called Customer Service, and was told I should have paid the bill at the store or online BEFORE I received a statement. If I am going to pay the bill in the store, why use a charge card? This is a very poor way to do business. I have cancelled my Kohl's charge account and destroyed the card. I won't be shopping at Kohl's again.

On Monday, July 27, 2009 at approximately 12:30pm we visited your #1241 Havana & Mississippi Kohls store in Aurora, Colorado.

Although the store was very slow, no one asked if help was needed. Employees, including the manager continued to walk past me as I stood for several minutes in one spot trying to get someone’s attention.

I was sent to customer service where Laya told the desk #1241 didn’t have what we were looking for and walked away before I could reiterate we wanted her to check other Kohls locations for stock so I could pick items up. I did not wish to utilize Kohls.com and wait 4 days for delivery if a Kohls 15 minutes apart from one another could have it ready today.

When Laya was contacted again, she interrupted me in midsentence as I tried to explain customer service said she’d check other Kohls locations for stock, pointing her finger at the ground stating to me: THIS IS ALL WE HAVE…DO YOU SEE?” I told her I did, finished my sentence, and she walked away mumbling leaving me to assume that I should follow her back to customer service desk.

For several minutes I stood outside the customer service desk, not even knowing if Laya was making the call or just left. One employee after another walked by me as I stood in the isle, yet not one asked if I was being helped.

Nicole, the manager was walking by me, and I had to stop her to ask if she’d help determine if Laya was even working on my request. As I informed her of Laya’s rude comment, I stated that I didn’t think I wished to patronize such discourteous behavior however thought as the manager of Kohls she should know.

Nicole’s responses were to check Kohls.com but “YOU CAN LEAVE IF YOU WANT TO.” Only when I reiterated how offended I felt, did Nicole state (while walking away from me) that she’d speak to Laya.

Family works in Kohls area where I trust this letter is being sent. We also have a strong affiliation with The Children’s Hospital in Colorado. I have worked for companies a great deal larger than Kohls and even they come and go. While I harbor no ill feelings for this horrible experience in service by not only a clerk, but the manager also, I can assure you such arrogance will only eventually expedite the same demise for your company.

Expect great things? I did choose to leave, went next door to an attached Target, purchased the same thing we’d been trying to piece together for 6 months at 3 Kohls in less than 5 minutes. Stocked, same price, courteous employees. All I expect is a response, and at minimum a verbal warning & training in customer service for both your choices in management and clerks.

I worked for Kohls twice. In New Jersey and in Vermont. I worked in the customer service department and I worked hard. I left after I was needed more at home. I left on good terms and when the economy fell I returned to Kohls in the State of Vermont. My second experience was quite the opposite of the first. They lied to me. Never gave me the job I was told I had to wait a few weeks to one month for. They played headgames and they switched me to days I couldn't work, and gave notice of dr. appt. I had a torn ligament and still came to work and was on my feet all day. They new I was allergic to something in the store which I had a violent reaction to. I became ill, and I had voiced what it was to 3 supervisors. Now later on looking back, I reported that I had been hired for one position, and never given it . I simply couldn't do the work, after my reaction, and then the games started from one week to the next it was lies. They put me on days I had dr. Appts scheduled, denied me calling up because I live an hour from the store, I called up to report a mistake in the schedule. I came in to request meetings about this mishap and was never granted it. I had been given less days of work, and then... I found another job and filled out a form for schedule change and they said they never received it. IT was a joke. The whole of it is, I am too old and wise a person for Retail drama. I also realized poor management, and bad company policy makes for a poor report. They are going to be one of those companies that no one will shop in sooner or later. I also am closing my Kohls charge. I paid it off and they put on finance charges when I paid off my 2,000.00 in 1 month from spending it, and they finance charged me! Then... again, Wouldn't you if you could?

Company policy is that before your 90 day probation period is up, you are allowed 5 call offs/tardies. After your 90 days you are given 15 call offs/tardies a year on a rolling year period. So like if you called off on May 2, it wouldn't fall off until May 2 of the next year. That's pretty much how that works. They even write you up when you have doctors notes. However, from my understanding it is Federal law that with a doctors note an employer cannot fire you, and last time I checked they Federal governments laws came before some store policy. If you can, sue the **** out of them!!

i would request the policy rules for calling off. You had a doctors excuse and it is illegal to terminate someone when they have a doctors excuse and are told by doctors orders to stay at home.

I am disappointed with Kohls. I have worked at Kohls for approximately several months. In these months treatment of their employees has something to be desired. I had gotten sick and was put in hospital for a couple of days and under doctors orders was to have complete bed rest upon return home for several days. Kohls was given a doctors excuse and a date that I was to return to work. My supervisor got extremely upset and told me that I would have to get written up for this, that it was company policy. She was was beligerant and I was told that I upset the schedule and that they no longer needed my services. No I find this alittle unreasonable. First of all I considered myself a good worker and did what I was told. I could not help that I was admitted to the hospital, but find it absurd that a write up was necessary. The management that is hired for Kohls has no business being supervisors and what they say about the management staff is definitely true. I was let go two weeks before Christmas and its a shame when the almighty dollar comes before its employees. I feel that the CEO of Kohls needs to know how employees are being treated and why the overturn of employess that come through there. What happen to fairness and treatment of employees.
