Well, if you return the item, then you no longer earned the $10 in Kohl's Cash, that simple. You think they are going to let you spend $50, earn $10 in Kohl's Cash, then return the $50 and keep the coupon they gave you because your purchased the $50?

The coupon was no longer earned, since you returned the item, therefore, it is voided.
